corrinesbell: (all beaten up)
[the journal picks up a few quiet coughs, and a groan]

Nnn...m-my head...

...Huh? Wh-where...am I? ...Raine? L-Lloyd?
  's this...th-the clinic? Can't remember.
corrinesbell: (on the ground)

[the sound of halting, limping steps is coming through the journal.  There is a weak cough, and a soft cry as book and body hit the ground]

P-Please...

[that's all she can say as she leans against the outer wall of one of the community buildings. At least she made it back to the village this time. On both wrists and both ankles are the remnants of metal restraints, and a similar band encircles her neck. Blood runs down her face from both temples, from what appear to be identical half-inch holes of some kind, and she holds one arm strangely, not wanting to move it.]

Wh-where's...aah! [another ineffective cough]

[[ooc: Oh dear. The muse is back, and would prefer sane people to help her out a bit, please.]]

corrinesbell: (whoa // in awe)
...This is weird. It feels like...I dunno. Powerful. ...Like if I really tried, I could...

[a soft hum, and a quiet incantation, ending in] ...I summon thee! Come, Celsius! [and some more shimmery, magic-like noises...and for a few seconds, another voice]

...It...it worked. I knew it!  I can only manage it for a couple seconds but... Hey, Raine, Col-- ...Oh. Never mind.

Hey, Pearl, you wanna see something? I can probably do it again, for-- [a very different, very familiar sound, and when Sheena speaks again it's much more serious] Stay in your bedroom, Pearl.

[and a bit of a scuffle] You're not doing this, not right now. I refuse. [feeling suddenly empowered, aren't we, Sheena?] You can't! Stop it! Let me go! ...Undine! [some more scuffle, and a pained scream, and the recording stops]

[though anyone who cares to go and see for themselves will find one window frosted over, and a mess of blood, feathers and water on the floor inside]

[[ooc: Yeah, yeah, I know. Sorry. But it's finals week, and semi-hiatus time. I just couldn't let the poor muse go without first realizing she had some power back...temporarily.]]
corrinesbell: (looking away // talking // serious talk)

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and guess that it's yet another experiment, now that I think about it. ...And again, without a warning. But what kind of experiment is this?

Allen, Daisya, Stella? Are the people you guys know acting...weird, too?

[[ooc: I'm almost sad that Sheena won't be switching. I have the worst timing.]]

42. Nature

Apr. 28th, 2008 02:43 am
corrinesbell: (musing // reflecting)

...Things are actually kinda nice around here, in the spring. Everything turning green like this...it's really different from home, but at the same time...still peaceful. I'm surprised I can find peace in a place like this, but I guess that's what you get for looking at nature too long, huh? ...Maybe it's because spring was always when the good things happened.

That reminds me, too - Stella, how're you doing?

Hey, Daisya, you have a minute?

39. Flames

...What is this? I'm a...bird!

...A fiery bird, too. Better get out of the house. Good thing I leave the window open.

You'd think, if I was going to turn into an animal, I'd be...I don't know, something more ninja. Instead of...uh...well...Aska. I don't think I'm Aska, I mean, but...I look like him.

Wonder if I can control this...

[[ooc: Yay animal event! Meet phoenix-Sheena. After the fire next door, she won't be coming home until all of her flames are gone.]]
corrinesbell: (on the ground)
It's...too hot...

This can't...it can't happen...I've got too much stuff to do!

[coughing and labored breathing for the next few minutes]

'M sorry...guys...

Why so hot? ...I...I can... [more coughing] ...Disciple of ever...lasting ice...

[[ooc: A bit delusional at the end there; strikes are mumbled, but still understandable. Good luck. ]]
corrinesbell: (Default)
It's an experiment.

I'd bet my life on it. Not that that'd be worth much here... But so many people sick like this, all at once?

...But they didn't warn us...

Still. This can't be natural. It just can't.

corrinesbell: (I am happy with what I see // pleased)
...Has anyone else noticed the fireflies? They're a little big, though...

And they're putting flowers in my hair. ...I'm not sure if I like that or not. It's kind of nice, I guess.

Anyway...congratulations again, you two. I'm really happy for you both. ...And I hope there aren't any interferences.

And Raine, I heard you and Colette talking about you staying here. Of course I don't mind, if that's what you want to do.

corrinesbell: (facepalm)
I must be really bored, to spend time answering this thing...

[[ooc: I tried to keep as many spoilers out of it as I could. Also, there's some stuff Sheena just plain won't say, so mun's comments are in [brackets] for your convenience!]]

31. Reverse

corrinesbell: (Default)
Thank Martel that's over. It didn't last a week either, I'm not complaining. So I'm back, sorry if I freaked you guys out.

[[ooc: Will be kind of slow replying, but nothing's really going on tonight so I'm sort of back.]]
corrinesbell: (angry // you're in for it)
There are foxes in my house. ...They're red. And...so small...they...

Birds, too. ...And I think a couple of cats are hiding out in the empty bedroom.

I hate whoever's doing this. The things I'm hearing are...are exactly like the things that the Malnosso do to us. Cruel and pointless. Those of you who went after them...I hope you find them quick. And stop them.

[sigh] Hey, Pearl, you wanna help me get some food together for these guys?
corrinesbell: (lost in thought // sad)
I don't care if it's the Malnosso's fault or not. I'm still going to kill him.

It's over, at least. ...Not much left for them to do now that they've come after us physically and emotionally, is there? Maybe things can calm down a little bit now, I guess. People will need time to sort stuff out.

...And now Allen's lost somewhere. I never thought I'd say this, but I really do hope he is just lost. ...You'd better answer soon, if you are. I dunno if we'll be able to stop ourselves from getting in trouble trying to find you, you know?

[[ooc: Yes, Zelos, that first comment is directed at you.]]
corrinesbell: (look over your shoulder)
I hope everyone's doing okay. If this is like all the other 'experiments,' we should be out of danger soon. ...As out of danger as we ever are, anyway. It's a little worrying that the hunter hasn't shown him itself much lately...but I guess we should probably be thankful for that, huh?

Caesar? Lute? You guys doing okay? How about you, Al? I haven't seen you in a while.

corrinesbell: (looking away // talking // serious talk)
[in rushed handwriting] I don't know what's going to happen, but you guys have to watch out. I don't like the sound of this at all. ...Please. I don't think anyone wants to see more people get hurt.

And...thanks, guys. I owe you one.

corrinesbell: (lost in thought // sad)
Where...? Oh, right. The clinic. ...Damn. Did it hurt this much before? These wings...really sensitive.

...I'm really out of it, huh? But...but thanks. Lloyd, and Kratos...hope you didn't wear yourself out o-on my account. ...A-And Lavi...and Daisya. ...For talking. Think I owe you a lot.

'S easier to breathe, too. D-Did someone...?

[[ooc: We welcome visitors! You'll have to talk your way through (or sneak past) the clinic-people, though.]]
corrinesbell: (on the ground)
[It’s hard to notice at first, with how muffled it is: the sound of short, sharp breaths. It’s a steady sound, one that seems more like background noise, like static, than anything unusual. Only after several minutes of this does the noise change; following a soft thump, it gets louder]

D-Damn it…

[Slowly, she rises again, not even bothering to brush off this new layer of snow. She walks with one arm tight around her ribs, and the other one against her side, numb fingers holding onto the book. She wants to throw it – she would throw it, given the strength, if it wasn’t the only thing that could let people find her. She holds no illusions about getting back to the village herself, this time. It’s too far…like this.]

But…the snow…it’s…

[Another soft thump. This time, though, she isn’t getting up.]

I…I’m…it’s c-cold. …S-Sorry…but at l-least...

[[ooc: Ah, it seems to be Monday. On this side of the line, anyway. Sheena’s been kicking to get out this whole time, and the inside of my head was starting to break, so she’s back.]]
corrinesbell: (musing // reflecting)
Have to say, it’s nice to have everyone back to the age they’re supposed to be. Kids are great, but an army of confused and scared kids is just a little hard to deal with. A lot of you were pretty cute kids, though. Pearl, I’m really grateful for all your help.
