I think...it's over. I mean I think- uh, I guess I hope everything's over. Or at least most of the bad stuff, anyway. It's never really over around here.

If anybody wants to fill me in on the stuff that went on in the village after the decoys went to their stations...or, uh...if you wanna be filled in, too. [She intends for that to sound ordinary, so ordinary, but to catch the attentions of the right people.] Anyway I wanna hear about whose houses are having trouble and stuff like that. I'll be back at work this afternoon. Assuming it's still in one piece, I haven't been up there.

[True to her word, and despite a couple of broken windows and some water damage, Sheena does indeed return to the Tea Shop after lunch and gets it ready for anybody who needs or wants to come in. She won't be there as long as usual - four hours, tops.

Surely people are curious enough to want to know - if only what it was like to be stuck in a submarine. She expects to be joined by an employee or two, too!]

I spent enough time in the infirmary back on the ship. We had a ship, by the way. A space ship.

[ what she doesn't say is that a clinic would worsen the nightmares -- after that dream-shifter had dragged her back to a particularly challenging hospital space, she's not sure she could handle the real thing. ]

I think it's just about waiting, now. Waiting for my own gears to kick in and patch me up.

Yeah, I heard it was gonna be space. What was it like up there?

...Maybe I shouldn't but I've got enough energy to heal you a little bit if you want. [It's Nala, not everybody likes that. Sheena shrugs.]

It's...hokey, but I'd kinda like to let my own mojo look after this. It should only be a few days.

I do appreciate the offer though. Really, I do. But it sounds like you should probably conserve your power.

Hmm? [ her voice does lift. ] Oh. He's got his own business to look after.

[ and she doesn't need him fretting uselessly at her bedside. ]

Jack's business is usually up-to-no-good business!

[Hopefully Buffy laughs at that. It'll take Sheena longer than usual to make this tea because she has to find everything in a strange kitchen. Once she does though, it's a matter of minutes before she brings out the biggest mug she could find in the cupboards, full of tea that smells a little earthy-green, and a little sweet.]

When he does, tell him that tea's yours and not to drink it. [For no real reason - just because.]

He's more of a coffee man, anyway.

[If Buffy is as worn out as she looks and the tea is as good as she claims, she might need someone's help walking back to bed. Or she could sleep in the chair.]

[ a twitch of her lips. jack's penchant for spirits couldn't be denied, but buffy always liked discovering his other tastes. black, bitter coffee. spiced things and things that weren't too sweet. simple but good things.
