Well, now that I'm back to being myself again and I've had a couple days to finish almost everything up...
The tea house is officially open for business! Even if it doesn't have a name yet. It's on top of the Welcome Center, and you should really come check it out! We have a little more than just tea.
[[ooc:Now that I'm not doing this on my phone Feel free to action right over there, because that's where she is. Also, this is what it looks like inside.]]

He'll stop at the door first, of course, and look down to see if the doorstop suggests he should be taking off his shoes.]

Just pick where you wanna sit! I'll be there in a minute.

He'll nod to Sheena and take a few minutes to get his boots off (Cowboy boots; great for walking in just about anything except ice; not so great for getting off quickly), and then pick a table...preferably one next to a window and with a good view of the rest of the shop.
Of course, he'll be at a loss as to what to order; he's heard about tea houses; he has no idea what one would have, though, so he'll wait for her.]

Aside from me, you're the first customer. So I won't make you pay. [grin]
no subject
Sure about that? I leave pretty good tips.
[He frowns a little as he looks back to the paper.] I'll admit, I'm more of a coffee guy...what would you suggest?

[he's getting orange spice herbal tea. No word on whether they serve coffee.]

[Hearing is no where near as sharp as it used to be, but Derek still listens, doing his best to discern from the faint sounds exactly what she's doing. It's a far cry from when he could have heard the very blood in her veins, but he still gets enough information as a normal human that he has a relative idea of what she might be doing.
He'll reach up to carefully trace the edge of the petals of the flowers on his own table. Still so dull feeling after being infected for over year...]

And he is about to get his tea, served still in the teapot with an empty mug to accompany it.]
Here you go. ...I, uh, hope you like it? [She wasn't the waitress during that week where the tea shop was real.]
no subject
[And he'll pour himself a cup.]
...Do you need the pot back for the next customer?
no subject
I think you're good. And even if there were more people here, you'd be fine with it. I've got more.
no subject
[And now he'll take an experimental sip.
Hn...not exactly his thing. Still...]
S'pretty good.
no subject
You're allowed to say if you don't like it, y'know. I'm new at this.
no subject
It's good...I...just don't drink tea a lot...or really, ever. So if there's fault, it's mine, because I don't know what I'm drinking. But I do like it.
no subject
[and she will disappear back into the back room because...well, most people she knows like to drink and think in peace.]
no subject
Still. for something he wouldn't normally touch, it is pretty good.]
...what are the pastries like?
[Another first. But hey, it's all about getting out and doing stuff right now.]
no subject
no subject
[Yes, he's asking her to choose.]
no subject
No, I'm not gonna let you have one.
[don't be ridiculous. ...Actually, Sheena smirks just a little]
Gimme a sec. D'you like fruit?
no subject
Yeah. Fruit's good.

This time, he looks like he enjoys it.
Which, he sort of does...it's pretty good for a dessert.]
