122. Circumstances
[To think it was just a regular day.
Sheena stumbles her way around from the back of house 18. One arm is braced against the outside wall of the house, the other useless. It's a slow, staggering kind of walk. When she runs out of house, she manages to move just a few more feet, into the road, before crashing to the ground again. Mercifully, her journal comes loose from where she had carried it at her waist, and ends up open, pages face down.
It's just out of her reach; her fingertips brush against it but she can't turn it over. Maybe having it open is enough]
I-I...need help. ...Please.
[[ooc: Follows almost immediately after this log, meaning it's Thursday up in here. The log is unfinished so far but we wanted to avoid some insane backdating/the chance that LJ murders itself again. So!]]

I feel like I could move it if I wanted to. ...It doesn't really hurt.

Okay. ...Thanks.
[unfortunately, no amount of healing is going to relieve her of those dizzy spells. Raine may have to wait a moment or two for more conversation]

You're gonna tire yourself out.

But she definitely doesn't have the strength to argue with Raine about it, so she just looks away again and nods]

But for now, the other wounds need attention, and they certainly have a story to tell on their own. That connection with Nala tends to make her focus more on that anyway.] It won't be much longer.

She'll have a lot of bandages to get through. It's a reasonably deep puncture, below her ribs and about an inch wide. It doesn't look pretty and definitely isn't something Sheena wants to comment on, particularly while Raine's trying to fix it, if she chooses to do so.]

But the filial magic allows her to gauge--the deepness of it, the areas affected by it. Her eyes are closed as she uses the magic to sense, to see how much she can do. Enough to push and encourage the wound to close. More energy to go deeper, perhaps, but hopefully it wouldn't be as bad as it looked.
Only one way to find out, and for that, she will be silent a while longer as she works.]

Sheena, also, keeps her eyes closed for this. It's something else she can feel, the way she felt her bones come back together, and again it seems the sensation should be painful, but for the most part it isn't. She's tense, which isn't helping the situation.
She's also starting to feel like she could be sick. The magic is going a long way in helping her, but her body has to contribute to the process too, and it's straining just a bit to also keep up with the energy it takes to keep her awake.]

She'll have time though, to rest it off properly. The magic at least, is gentle, soothing even as it withdraws once the wound is healed, cool when it has gone away. Raine needs a few moments, herself, but she opens her eyes to look over her friend, checking to see if there's anything else that needs tending.]

There is one more thing Raine might consider serious enough, barring the other sword cuts, but she may also want to leave it alone in favor of keeping Sheena definitively in bed for a few days more. She was limping around that house; one agile misstep during the fight set the muscles in the back of her thigh on fire, and sent her knee in a direction it really shouldn't have gone. It's painful and bothersome, but it won't kill her if it's left to heal all by itself, or at least left alone until she's had time to get some strength back.
It's up to Raine, though. At this point Sheena can't and won't object to whatever she wants to do. She tries to open her eyes again and immediately, weakly brings her good hand up to her head.]

... Just try to relax, Sheena. You need the rest.
no subject
But she wants to tell her not to leave, if she does fall asleep. Really wants to tell her what happened, even though just a few minutes ago she was trying to come up with a way to get out of telling her.
If Raine waits just a few minutes before using magic on that last injury - if magic is what she intends to do - Sheena will bounce back, just enough.]

It doesn't hurt. Almost nothing hurts, not the things that had before Raine arrived. In trying to rest and think of nothing, Sheena is very slow to realize this fact, but it's there.
When she feels like she can open her eyes again without seeing the world as a swirling blur, she does, cautiously. And it works, as long as she doesn't try too hard to focus. After a moment or two she will be looking for that bottle of water, and hoping Raine can intuit this somehow.]

It just seems appropriate.]

And she doesn't even mind. Whether it's childish or strange or embarrassing is one of the farthest things from her thoughts.
Then there are no thoughts for another half hour. When she wakes again it's with a quiet start, like she might have heard a noise]
