122. Circumstances
[To think it was just a regular day.
Sheena stumbles her way around from the back of house 18. One arm is braced against the outside wall of the house, the other useless. It's a slow, staggering kind of walk. When she runs out of house, she manages to move just a few more feet, into the road, before crashing to the ground again. Mercifully, her journal comes loose from where she had carried it at her waist, and ends up open, pages face down.
It's just out of her reach; her fingertips brush against it but she can't turn it over. Maybe having it open is enough]
I-I...need help. ...Please.
[[ooc: Follows almost immediately after this log, meaning it's Thursday up in here. The log is unfinished so far but we wanted to avoid some insane backdating/the chance that LJ murders itself again. So!]]

She's not thinking straight. It is only partially up to her whether or not these thoughts go through her head right now, and she's fighting them but they are persistent. Old friends will do that.
Besides, she's a bit emotionally fragile to slap, if Raine can tell that]

But it's true that in this state a slap wouldn't be much help. She'd just think she deserved that too. Which isn't quite the angle she's going for, here.
She thinks of Corrine, but that might not be the correct approach either.]

Is it...okay to have more water?
[[Ooc: ...I love that tag and it is beautiful.]]
no subject
Yes, of course you may.

[though the initial bottle is empty now. It's probably a good thing that she's starting to feel thirsty, instead of just sick. It will be a while before she's able to hold a bottle or glass herself, but it's a start.]

And she wants that water as soon as she can get it. So she gathers as much energy as she can and tries to sit up further, so it won't be as much of a burden for Raine to help]
no subject
So she nods, and moves to get the second bottle, preparing it much like the first.] Ready?
no subject
Sheena looks at the bottle and nods. When she tries to reach for it her hand trembles far too much.]

Another half of a bottle disappears. There is a fine line she has to walk between wanting to drink it all, and being uncertain if it's okay to do that. If there's merit to pacing herself instead.
Sheena opens her mouth to say "you don't have to do this." Didn't have to. Maybe she's tired enough today to realize what the answer will be before the words escape, this time. She can hear herself, after all, replying to Raine as she said similar things: you'd do it for me. ...So it's true.
Not that she ever doubted it. There's just contentment in things coming together in her head. So Raine gets a grateful smile as she leans back against her pillows again]
...Don't let Zelos do anything stupid, okay?
[[ooc: LOOK AT THE TEAL ON THAT DEER.]]

[Because if he tries, Raine will be the one to put him in the hospital bed. Somehow.
But it wasn't likely to reach that kind of level. He just needed to calm down. They wouldn't solve any of this if they weren't rational. Meeting Mithos with more violence wouldn't solve anything. But how would he learn? Such a trying situation.
For now it's out of her hands.
So she returns that smile, trying her best to make sure Sheena is as comfortable as possible.]
Are you in any pain?
no subject
The question makes her think. She's been in so much less pain since Raine started healing her that it hasn't even crossed her mind that some things still hurt. ...And there's Raine's energy to consider. No reason to put her in the hospital too.]
I'm just sore. My arm and stuff.
[Then again, she'll probably be in worse trouble for trying to cover it up.]
...And my leg hurts, I guess. [her remaining sword cuts are stinging but she doesn't consider those important enough to use up magic on.]
no subject
She's been good about moderating herself, for the time being.]
no subject
D'you think the...the lightning...is gonna give me problems like I had before?
no subject
no subject
[because that was awful. She doesn't want to go back to being like that every day.]
You said...a week. ...I guess that's not so bad.

[so her eyes close. It's not long before her hold on Raine's hand goes slack, either. Sheena's exhausted.]
