122. Circumstances

[To think it was just a regular day.

Sheena stumbles her way around from the back of house 18. One arm is braced against the outside wall of the house, the other useless. It's a slow, staggering kind of walk. When she runs out of house, she manages to move just a few more feet, into the road, before crashing to the ground again. Mercifully, her journal comes loose from where she had carried it at her waist, and ends up open, pages face down.

It's just out of her reach; her fingertips brush against it but she can't turn it over. Maybe having it open is enough]

I-I...need help. ...Please.

[[ooc: Follows almost immediately after this log, meaning it's Thursday up in here. The log is unfinished so far but we wanted to avoid some insane backdating/the chance that LJ murders itself again. So!]]

[Hmm. He figures he could get there faster than most people, so...]

Where are you?

M-my house.

[and losing consciousness pretty fast. She's already been out once.]

[He doesn't know where her house iiiiis! Um. Hm, maybe it would be best for her friends to get her-- but no ones responded yet. They probably will in like the next minute, but she seems like she's in pretty bad shape.... oh okay fine.]

... I'll be there.

[Whelp, time to bust out the kikaichū buggies all over the town in hopes of finding her. Hopefully you won't mind seeing a few of these guys (http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20091206142453/naruto/images/thumb/a/a7/Kikaich%C5%AB.JPG/180px-Kikaich%C5%AB.JPG) eventually finding you and buzzing all around your body.]

[those are slightly creepy-looking bugs there. At least she'll probably be out cold by the time they get so far as to buzz around.]

[They are! That's why it's possibly a good thing she's unconscious right now. Especially since those few are going to slowly grow into a few dozen. And then a few hundred. And then continue to grow until there's enough to actually gently pick her up off the ground, and float her over to where Shino is. Who just so happened to have just landed on the roof of her house. Ninja skillz and all that.]

Hmm... [Don't worry Sheena. He'll get you to the clinic. =(]

[From the roof, he'll be able to see evidence of the fight that took place in the back of the house.

Be glad she's not awake for this kind of transportation. Very glad. She's kind of a flailer.]

[He does see that actually. Later there's a good chance he'll visit her at the clinic and ask her about said fight. He doesn't expect her to tell a stranger all of her business, but he could at least find out if there's another baddie in town to watch out for.

He... kinda prefers for her to be unconscious actually. Simply because he doesn't like revealing his powers to people in the village. He doesn't want to... blow all of his trumps at once!? Fuuuufufufu! Get it because it can mean trump card or trumpet.]

[start making puns like that out loud and risk being slapped.]

[It isn't until much later that Yuan shows up at the clinic to pay Sheena a visit. He wasn't one hundred percent sure if she'd be there, but he'd rather try the clinic first and then risk going to her house. There's a smaller chance of running into Zelos, this way.

Luckily, she is lying in one of the clinic beds, so Yuan will approach her without hesitation.]

[The one spot of luck she's had in this is that now, she's unconscious and oblivious to the world.

But before she was safe (?) in the clinic and trying to recover, she got beaten up, zapped, and lost a whole lot of blood. So she looks awful.]

[Considering how awful she looks, it's a good thing she's resting. Yuan doesn't dare to wake her when she's like this, so he'll just take a seat next to the bed and wait. He doesn't have anything better to do right now anyway. But just to show he's not a complete creeper, he'll idly flip through his journal while he waits.]

[But he is a complete creeper, come on now.

He may have to wait a while. Something closer to an hour than to half. But eventually one eye, then the other, will open and Sheena will groan in a very pitiful voice at how bright it is in the room and how much everything just hurts]

[Hey now, at least he isn't hiding in bushes. ... Or behind the curtains, in this case.

Sheena may be awake now, but he's still not going to say anything. He'll wait for her to fully become aware of her surroundings and figure out he's there on her own.]

[it's another short while before she even thinks about looking around the room. The last thing she remembers with any clarity is touching the journal and trying to call for help.

But she can determine after a few minutes that this must be the clinic. And someone is here with her. She's squinting to even try to guess who it is, though, trying to make the blur in her vision turn into something solid]

[Considering she's staring straight at him, he can only assume she knows he's sitting there.]

I see you're finally awake.

[her eyes unconsciously search the room again while she tries to remember just who that voice belongs to. When she answers, it's very strained and quiet]

Yuan?

Yes. [He leans forward in his chair to watch Sheena more closely. She really is a mess. Who caused such injuries? The chances that it was the Malnosso are very slim.]

Would you care to explain what happened?

[Especially since she talked to him not that long ago. There really wasn't enough time for her to be kidnapped - they aren't known for daytrips, or even weekend staycations.

When he asks what happened she is trying her hardest not to attempt curling into as small of a ball as she can manage. As though that would make everything hurt less.

He's not going to be happy with this answer, either.]

I w-was...attacked.

[she's not even thinking about how embarrassing it is to be taken by surprise like that]

By whom? [It's not a question, so much as a demand. As complicated as his relationship with Sheena may be, he's actually a little protective of her. He knows it's not his place- that she has much closer companions to watch over her, but Yuan wouldn't be Yuan if he could actually stop himself from caring about people over time.]

[she closes her eyes so she doesn't have to be looking at him when she answers.]

Mithos.

[The silence that follows is almost deafening. One of Yuan's hands clenches into a fist, while the other clutches his journal more tightly. Even now that he's got his precious Martel, Mithos is still causing trouble. When he finally speaks up, it's a low growl.]

... Why?

I-I...I don't know. I think... [she's having to stop, hold her breath a little, and then continue, the hand that can do so making a fist on top of her blanket]

I think I was there.

[That's it? That's the reason he injured Sheena so badly she ended up in the clinic? Just because she was there?] That little bastard! He really is just a petulant child.

[for as awful as she feels, she can't help but look at him while he gets all bothered. Yuan, she really didn't know you cared so much.]

He...about Martel...

[It's not just that he attacked Sheena- It's that even after he got his way, even after he got to be reunited with Martel, he's still as hostile as before. No, perhaps it's because of Martel that he's even more hostile. At this rate, he'll attack anyone who dares to get close to his precious sister.]

This has to stop.
