[It's been awhile since Albert was last out. Recuperating from the stab wound to his wing had not really taken long, but the pangs of pain had been enough to keep him distracted from any type of work. So he carries the journal with him as he leaves, talking into it as he walks.]

I should start by saying that I'm a summoner. I can make pacts with the elemental spirits in my world and call on them if I need help. ...I've been practicing to be one all my life.

When I was...seven years old...the village chief and his direct subordinates decided it was time I made a pact, because having the abilities of a Summon Spirit on our side in a conflict would be...advantageous.
