It's been six years.

Maybe I should just stop counting after this. Is it worth it? All that stuff about seven years...

[Sheena remembers her last 'anniversary' with neutrality, but the fallout with a hard grimace and clenched fists.]

There'd better not be some stupid statue anywhere this time.

It's not as though I'm really busy or anything. Any time is good, especially if I can learn at the tea shop. Sometimes it's totally dead in here.

Very good. I'll come by with something we can play on.

I guess I'll...make tea.

That seems a most fair arrangement.

[On that note...she'll wait for him.]

[Iroh arrived later on, usually boards were much larger, so finding a smaller one had been a bit trickier, but thankfully there were a few around here and there.]

[Sheena's cleaning off tables when he gets there. Most people come in to sit and stay a while, and sometimes she gets prickly about what is essentially waitress stuff - it reminds her of home in the oddest ways - but she looks up when the bell on the door rings.]

Oh, hey.

Ah, hello!

[He finds an empty table and places down the board, it was still larger than standard chess board. After placing it down and giving it a pat to make sure everything was stable, he turns and gives her a smile]

It is nice to meet you in person. I prefer it generally.

[He gives a bit more of a formal bow, with practiced grace]

[She has to pull up some memories that are dustier than she'd like, but Sheena returns the bow, just as formal.]

It's nice to meet you too. Uh, again.

[It was unfortunate that he didn't remember his previous time here, but he supposed that was the nature of this strange place. His wings flexed and relaxed as if a reminder of the oddity of the place]

I imagine a little odd as well.

[He gave her a little grin]

Shall we sit?

Sure. Oh, but do you want anything first? Like tea, or a snack or something?

Ginseng tea would be lovely if you have it.

[It is his favorite]

Of course we have it. [It's pretty basic compared to some of the other stuff people have come up with. Sheena disappears for a while into the kitchen; she returns with a teapot and two cups, setting them down and pouring the tea for both of them before she sits.]

[He inclines his head as she pours the tea]

Thank you kindly.

[He waits for a moment before delicately putting the cup to his lips and has a small sip]

Sure. [Sheena's a little less delicate, half-draining her cup with one sip. Most of the time she has tea all day, and for some reason doea not feel compelled to politeness in front of Iroh.]

[He gives her a smile, but doesn't comment on the quick drinking. To each their own]

[She's just excited!]

[He places his cup down a moment]

Pai Sho is more than a game, but to understand some of its intricacies you need to first approach it in its most basic form. As with any undertaking the first few steps will be relatively easy and straightforward, but I ask your patience, as the basics are undoubtedly the foundation upon which any true learning is built.

[He took a breath in and had another sip of tea]
