Guess it's about that time again, huh? Hey, everybody. I just wanted to say that we're kinda shorthanded at the tea shop these days and so if anyone wanted to work a day or two, there's...a lotta space in the schedule for it. It's weird not to work for money, and everything, but at least it's something to do.

Or you could just come have tea, too. That reminds me I've gotta ask at the bakery again about making stuff. We've got just about everything you could want, I think. Uh, I mean, if what you want is a specific kind of tea.

And the last thing is that...Ayumu went home. So the house is pretty empty again. [The vocal equivalent of a shrug, followed by a shade of actual shrugging.] Kinda the way things are here sometimes. I've been here for a little bit more than five years and you just get used to it eventually. Most of it. Sorta.

Anyway. Didn't mean to make this whole thing depressing.

[And as usual, anyone may catch her at work. Avoiding the house? No way, of course not!]

Sheena. If a certain someone wanted to swing by and get a refill on her signature blend, would that be doable? Today? Maybe sometime around three?

Nothing serious or new. Just an empty tin. That's all. Ran out a little earlier than anticipated. A few bad nights and a terrible accident with a cat.

You know you don't have to ask that, right? Just show up. I'm pretty much always here in the afternoon anyway. ...Uh, is your cat okay?

I am no expert at making tea... Would you hire a protector?

Uh, you don't have to make the tea, you can just serve it while someone else makes it. Most of the time I'm pretty sure I don't need protecting, though. [In fact she's kind of smirking in a wry way.] I can handle myself and so can almost everybody else living here.

To serve... That would be an honor! I would do all I could to ensure the swiftest service possible!

You are so strong? Does this mean we should spar?

She didn't...eat it, or anything. Just knocked it over. Into the sink. A sink full of dishes and neglected, lukewarm water.

[A tea shop? She's never had tea before, but hey she's not doing anything most of the time. The part about five years...she'll ignore it for now. Maybe she can lift this woman's spirits.]

I can help out if you need someone. I've never made tea before, but I can be a waitress.

Um, excuse me? [Someone sounds very nervous.] There wouldn't by chance still be opens at the tea shop to work... is there?

Sure there are. Especially if you wanna work mornings. [The later Sheena gets to sleep, the better, these days.]

Oh. That kind of accident. I was worried the cat died, or something.

It's usually pretty relaxed in here, I don't think you've gotta worry about being super fast.

Spar, huh? [A mixture of not-too-impressed and interested comes through in her tone.] We could try it.

I'm pretty much guaranteed not to turn anybody away, y'know? Even if you haven't made tea. It's not like there's a whole lotta other stuff to do around here when experiments aren't happening.

[Which is an outdated point of view. There is a lot to do - and Sheena does a fair handful - but those things haven't reconciled with the way Luceti feels.]

I think the cat was spooked. Somehow, a dog was added to our menagerie. The house-animals aren't getting along so well.

But how will I improve myself through this exercise if I am not constantly stressing my limits?

Of course! That is a way in which we may both improve!

You're a friend of Ling's, right? I heard him talk about you a couple times. [And then she realizes she didn't introduce herself in the initial advertisement.] Oh, uh, and I'm Sheena.

How many animals does that make now? And if Jack got a dog in order to teach it to do dirty piratey things he'd better think again about it.

You really don't have to shout like that. I'll spar if you wanna.

I dunno what else to say about it, other than sorry. But that never helps.

Three. My Cupcake, Cupcake's kitten Hector, and this...dog.

For what it's worth, I don't think Jack much wants the dog either.

Oh. ...Whose dog was it? [Because it makes sense if it's an inherited dog.]

But he's got the whole beach to run around on, I bet he'll get used to it.

I think the dog's its own dog. Mostly.

[That makes her blush.] Yes. Ling's a very good friend of mine. And it is very nice to meet you Sheena.
