126. Bridge [action/voice]

[In the early afternoon, a small creature makes its way out of the forest. It holds the journal in its teeth; the book drags along the ground, making the little thing stop occasionally.



Not that it's going all too quickly. The creature is dragging its right hind leg along also, and favoring one of its front paws whenever it feels it can. Eventually it comes to a stop on the Marauding Bridge, putting the journal down and pulling it open with teeth.

It meant to say something else. Then exhaustion took over and it dropped onto its side there, head resting on the open journal's pages.]

I can't go any further.

[the voice is so tiny and high, there's pretty much no way to discern who it really belongs to...]

Being outdoors in the fresh air... yes, I can see why it would help. It's still nice out. [The storm wouldn't be until tomorrow.]

I can't tell for certain... but in any case, it doesn't matter. I don't think it will rain tonight.

[Good. A thunderstorm isn't what she needs right now. ...Even though she would be too deeply asleep to notice it.

She's having to resist the urge to climb onto Raine's shoulder. There's no way she has that kind of balance right now]

[It's only a few more steps through the dining room and then to the foyer and front door from there. It's evening now, so a little cooler, the sun not quite having set but almost there. Now where to sit...?]

[Cool or not, Sheena's spirits lift immediately once they're out the door. She shifts and resettles her wings, lifting her head again]

That feels good.

[It's not cold, simply a cooling evening temperature, more refreshing than the earlier heat of the day. She moves off the porch to settle near one of the trees on the side of the house. A little closer than where she had been a few hours before, but it seemed appropriate.]

[Sheena makes no attempt to move from Raine's lap, either. Moving would take too much effort, and she's tired again. It was the fresh air that she needed]
