126. Bridge [action/voice]

[In the early afternoon, a small creature makes its way out of the forest. It holds the journal in its teeth; the book drags along the ground, making the little thing stop occasionally.



Not that it's going all too quickly. The creature is dragging its right hind leg along also, and favoring one of its front paws whenever it feels it can. Eventually it comes to a stop on the Marauding Bridge, putting the journal down and pulling it open with teeth.

It meant to say something else. Then exhaustion took over and it dropped onto its side there, head resting on the open journal's pages.]

I can't go any further.

[the voice is so tiny and high, there's pretty much no way to discern who it really belongs to...]

[it wasn't as bad as it could have been, thanks to the healing magic. Still, she's breathing hard and fast after Raine's done. It hurts much less now but she feels like she could be sick...if it's possible to do so as Corrine.]

Thank you Yuan. [She allows herself to heave a small breath once it's done, and shakes her head.] ... She needs to rest, so I'll bring her inside with me.

[Yuan gives a curt nod, then leans down to pick the journal up from the ground. He holds it out for her to take, waiting to see if she'll confirm his suspicions.] She had this with her.

[She reaches out to take the journal, though a little puzzled at Yuan's words. Perhaps, he didn't realize...? But the name on the book confirms those suspicions. After all, Sheena had been missing for some time.]

... Hm. [He honestly didn't know what to think. But if the name on the journal says "Sheena", it's no coincidence that Corrine came by it. Raine clearly had suspicions about the spirit as well.]
