122. Circumstances
[To think it was just a regular day.
Sheena stumbles her way around from the back of house 18. One arm is braced against the outside wall of the house, the other useless. It's a slow, staggering kind of walk. When she runs out of house, she manages to move just a few more feet, into the road, before crashing to the ground again. Mercifully, her journal comes loose from where she had carried it at her waist, and ends up open, pages face down.
It's just out of her reach; her fingertips brush against it but she can't turn it over. Maybe having it open is enough]
I-I...need help. ...Please.
[[ooc: Follows almost immediately after this log, meaning it's Thursday up in here. The log is unfinished so far but we wanted to avoid some insane backdating/the chance that LJ murders itself again. So!]]

And once she sees Sheena lying on the ground, she dives down like she's in a free-fall. The only control she bothers with is braking just enough to avoid plowing into the ground (and Sheena). She restrains herself from screaming out her friend's name because that kind of shock is not what she needs right now. Instead she jumps off her broom once she's close enough to the ground and drops into a crouch next to her.]
Sheena. You still awake? [She's already pulling out her gels. Either she'll feed them to her if she's awake or apply them topically if she's not.]
[Action]
She's bleeding noticeably from a few good sword cuts. Paper cards just don't offer the right kind of defense against a mad master swordsman.]
[Action]
She's already got some gels out, both apple and lemon. She takes one of the lemons and begins applying it to the largest cut she can see. She'll try to get her to eat one or two when odds of pain making that impossible are a little less.]
[Action]
But she did her absolute best to stay conscious until Arche got there - that may not last much longer]
[Action]
Sheena. I'm going to feed you an apple gel now. I need you to swallow it, to help with the blood loss. Understand?
[She's already lifting the gel to Sheena's lips.]
[Action]
But she will do all she can to eat the gel and not choke on it.]
[Action]
At this point Arche's just hoping the gels will numb her and repair enough damage that she can get her to the clinic without causing her any more pain or injury.]
[Action]
After she finishes eating the gel, pretty much all of her energy is spent. Her eyes close and she passes out, for real. If Arche were going to try moving her, injuries aside, now would be a good time. Watch out for her lower right side, though]
[Action]
[Action]
At the clinic there will be little in the way of healing magic available for the time being.]
[Action]
It's times like these I really wish Mint was here...
[That complaint aside, all she can really do now is use her own rudimentary knowledge of field medicine to try to patch Sheena up. She makes a mental note to try to get a pact with Nala later.]
[Action]
comma syndrome asideIt probably won't be pretty. Mithos got her good.][Action]
[Action]
It will be quite a while before she's allowed back in. But by that time Sheena will be reasonably cleaned up - in clinicky pajamas, for one thing, instead of her dirty clothes - and bandaged together. And asleep.]
[Action]
Silliness aside, once the door's open again Arche goes straight in. She heads for the bed to check Sheena over, relieved when she sees that they've done a decent job of taking care of her, magic or no magic.
She settles into the chair nearby, to wait as long as it takes for her to wake up.]
[Action]
They did do a decent job, though, and for a while she will rest without incident. Waking up, when it happens, is a very painful process and she will hiss and sort of groan without realizing she's doing so]
[Action]
When Sheena starts to wake up, she almost jumps, and leans forward quickly.]
Sheena? [She wants to ask "are you okay?" but she already knows the answer to that one.]
[Action]
They've drugged her to keep her from being in too much pain. Hopefully they told Arche that before they left. If and when she figures it out, she won't be pleased.]
[Action]
Good, you're awake... That's one heck of a relief. Don't try to talk just yet though. You've been through a lot.
[They did tell her, but Arche's not really aware of how effective modern drugs can be.]
