I'm going to the store today. Is there anything I should bring anyone?

[It's a ~~beautiful day in the neighborhood~~ cold day in Luceti.

Sheena got up this morning - no longer small, or even remembering that she had been small - and did all of her usual tasks in the house. And now she's out and about, ready to do all the other houses she usually does.

So if you live (permanently or temporarily) in houses 6, 8, 12, 19, 23, 42, 44, 49, or 56, Sheena is coming to clean as she does every other day, and has done since offering her services to each of you. Others may find her at the grocery store, or on the street, carrying a bucket of supplies and a broom but wearing no coat]

[[ooc: The AU that didn't live during the event itself - Sheena has been Zelos' personal maid at home for many years. She believes he gave her permission to work for other people here too as long as she was home on time to make dinner; she's not much of her usual self in terms of outward personality either, being all subservient and polite ~~to most people~~ now.

Of course, sir. It's unfortunate that your house is the last of the day. But Master Yuan and Master Lowell both asked me not to work today, so I'm...early.

[she starts, as always, with dusting, then polishing. By the end of the day she's usually not this...off. But this is a maid trapped in the body of a ninja, and one that's not used to doing maid sorts of things.]

Since you're early, it's acceptable for you to eat something here. Especially since the walk back to your house will be a long one.

[Though it might be better to let Albert take point in this. Adjusting to Sheena as a maid required... completely different handling from her as a child. At least then Raine knew more of what she was dealing with. Her bubble floats with a question mark over Zelos's face since... well, who else would have had a maid?]

I eat once Master Wilder has finished dinner.

[she sees Raine's thoughts but politeness dictates she not acknowledge them directly.]

We insist that you eat something. You are not usually struggling through the snow when you come out here. You needn't eat a full meal if you believe Zelos will disapprove.

Please listen to what Albert says. He's quite right about it.

[well she can't really disregard Albert's orders. She looks very disconcerted about all this, though.]

Then at least...let me prepare enough of a meal for everyone.

That sounds fine. [He gestures to the kitchen. He would much rather owe Sheena a meal than have her actually clean their house.]

[Raine moves so that she isn't blocking the way to the kitchen. What sort of reality did she come from that this was acceptable? There was no need for maid service in Luceti. Unless it was the only way she felt comfortable living her life. And there was the Zelos factor. Some form of these thoughts play out above her head, but all she says is-]

There should be more than enough ingredients for you to work with.

[because proper decorum or not, those thoughts look bothered.]

[Looking at the two young women for a moment, Albert heads back to the sitting room to so he can make sure it's clean.] I'll be right back.
[The last thing they need is Sheena insisting that she need to clean a room that looks somewhat messy.]

[And thankfully, it's not as if they're really messy people to begin with.] All right, Albert.

[She looks back to Sheena.] As long as you're willing to eat with us -- and eat your full share -- I won't have as much of a reason to be.

Yes ma'am.

[and she heads into the kitchen, still a little apprehensive about this whole thing. But who knows? It may be the best meal they have for days.]

[It very well could be a great meal! ...This entire household seriously needs to taking cooking lessons sometime.

Albert heads behind the screen to look at the sitting room. A few papers, a pen or two, a book... Nothing too bad. He glances at the ash-filled fireplace, deciding to follow through with his plan to build a fire -- as he was planning to do before Sheena showed up. So he'll busy himself with retrieving the firewood from the closet and bringing it back to the fireplace.]

Would you like any help? [... It's only natural to offer, though she doubts that would be accepted. A rejection would give her an out, at least, a chance to regroup. The idea of food sends lemons floating in that bubble, displacing the other thoughts momentarily.]

[with her hand halfway to a frying pan, she freezes.]

Thank you for your offer, Professor Sage, but it wouldn't be right. I will try to use lemons in your dinner if possible.

... Understood. [And a big 'x' appears over the lemons in the picture. she shakes her head a little before stepping back out and over to the living room. She's shaking her head once she arrives.]

[Meanwhile, Albert kneels in front of the fireplace as he arranges the firewood, reaching for Eferin's power so he can quickly and easily create a fire.

Unfortunately, the experiment in effect has different ideas, and before he knows it, there's a small explosion of water soaking the arranged wood.

His brow twitches as he leans away from the fireplace, wiping wet ash from his cheek. Lovely.]

[... Well.

That was interesting. Raine hears the odd sound from behind the screen, and then rounds the corner to view the result.]

... Everything all right?

Just the experiment taking effect again. [He doesn't glance at Raine, too busy giving the fireplace a distasteful stare as he begins picking the pieces of wet wood out to try and salvage what is left.]

I would rather Sheena not clean our house. It seems Yuan and Yuri had the same idea.

I have to agree. It's disconcerting to see her in that form of mindset. For her sake I hope it doesn't last too long.

...Especially if she intends to come over to clean every other day.

... Is that what she said? [Sigh.]

She may begin to take offense at not being allowed to work, either. But one step at a time, in any case.

He attempts to call upon Eferin's power again, hissing as he manages to splash the front of his coat with water -- somehow. What in the world. He stands, his expression annoyed as he heads towards the foyer closet.] So much for shortcuts.

Hopefully. These Shifts are getting tiresome. [She has to raise an eyebrow at his efforts.] ... That's odd. I'll get you a towel.
