[He thought it wouldn't be. Still, he thought he might show her anyway. On the off chance she would be interested in having it back. He sets it down, still open.]

[no matter how she looks at it, she didn't really do anything special. Didn't even make the sandwich herself.]

[Another half-smile. "Your kindness". Maybe it didn't seem like anything special to her, but to a hurt little boy, every little thing was special when someone payed attention to his needs and wants. Especially after all the trouble he'd ended up in later. There had to be something good about the whole thing for him to hold on to.]

[An apologetic smile, and a shake of his head. That's all right. He hasn't really been hungry.]

...That picture you drew for me...it was Verius, right?

[He pauses, then nods. That's right. Verius had been quite helpful in subduing Yuber, and was a good companion otherwise.]

[Sheik shakes his head. "I do not think he had the chance". Sheik was sad to see him go all the same. They were resting, and when Sheik woke, Verius was simply gone, and the village had fallen quiet.]

I don't remember them leaving...but that's okay.

[He offers her a small smile and rests a hand on her shoulder. It's all right.]

[She's actually going to just sit there quietly for a minute or two. Her shoulders will tense, but after that time she shakes her head a little and shrugs]

[She doesn't have to thank him for that. He didn't do anything. Still, he gives her shoulder a small squeeze, then lets his hand drop. He could tell she was definitely close to that summon somehow.]

[Funny how that happens from time to time, when words simply fail to convey anything but confusion. Sheik's content to sit there for a little while, but eventually, his thoughts will end up driving him to move on in search of solitude.]

[You and your abrupt changes in subject, Sheena. It takes him a moment, but then he nods. In all honesty, he'd forgotten about it entirely with the recent flood of events. Hopefully he's still capable of at least a little bit. He's still terrible at it, without having practiced at all.]
