106. Promises

Hey guys, listen up. If you see anything that looks like a huge ball of lightning, a giant...mole, a really muscular guy with four arms, or a really old guy using magic, you've gotta let me know right away. They could be dangerous.

[There are others, but they're harder to describe and, while they could be equally as destructive, they're not as prone to widespread destruction as Volt, Gnome, Origin and Maxwell might be. ...Especially Maxwell, he'd enjoy himself.]

Be on the lookout for summon spirits. I've already found one of them. ...They fight back. [In the background, Undine sounds a little indignant.]

[Knowing, now, that any of them has the potential to be here, Sheena's combing the areas around the village for any signs of wayward elemental destruction. Most of the time, Undine will be with her, hopefully to help her handle any trouble she runs into.]

He's here... As calm as he can be in this situation. [Meaning that he could just slap Kratos away and demand to be brought back to his altar again before he can do anything about it.]

[He tries talking to Origin to calm him further, but all he really receives in response are angry arguments and the warning crackling of power.]

Okay, just tell him I'm coming. He should already know what Luceti's about if he's been anywhere near my thoughts in the past three years...so see if you can find out what he's so angry about.

[Coming, coming. Sheena'll just burst through the front door, no need to knock at her own house]

Kratos?

[Kratos is right in the living room, a hand gripped on his sword as Origin floats in front of him. The fact that the summon spirit has put away his weapons and has two of his arms crossed in front of him tells that Kratos managed to calm him somewhat, but he still doesn't look happy.]

Sheena.

[Origin looks up, too.]

Oh good.

[As in, Oh good, nobody's dead or even injured. She shoots Kratos a look before turning to face Origin.]

Okay, what's going on?

[Kratos steps to the side to allow her to speak to him. He still keeps his hand near his sword, just in case things get out of control. Nngh. The sight of Origin brings up unpleasant feelings and memories...

Origin himself digs his nails into his arms and clenches his fists at his sides.]

...Y'know, you're right. They don't have the right to tear you from Aselia and bring you here.

[hands on hips and serious face] But unless I've really screwed up somehow, you're still bound to me and I'm here. And there's not a whole lot you can do about being here either.

First of all, you can not take this house down. There'll be nowhere else for us to go, and we're short on places to live as it is.

...And then if you think you can handle it, we need help keeping all the monsters out there away from the village. [clumsy or not, Sheena does know how to pick on the egos of each and every summon spirit]
