105. Small Wisdom

[Those who have not been drafted may notice Sheena spending most of the day playing outside with a small child. After a few hours of this she looks tired, but pretty happy. Watching Sophie while Stella's away gives her something to do, staving off the feeling of being stagnant. And she does love kids. Sophie's a little too young for hide-and-seek, but Sheena knows a few other little-kid games. They'll probably spend most of the morning and midday in the plaza. Maybe playing catch, with the journal open nearby in case anyone says something important]

Aww, haha, c'mon, I know you can catch it.

[And later she'll leave Sophie at home with Zelos or Colette while she naps, and sneak off to the clinic to visit a friend.]

[Out and about after a bout of training, Adell makes his way into the plaza. It's warm today, so he'll be sweating some, but he doesn't look like he minds much. But then he catches sight of Sheena in the plaza, playing with a very young child. A small smile crosses his face and he approaches.]

Hey, Sheena.

Hey, Adell. Think fast!

[Arche's drifting more than anything, no real destination in mind when she flies over the plaza, eyes searching for something interesting.

When she sees Sheena and Sophie, she brightens up immediately and waves down, calling for them.] Heeeeey! Sheena! Sophie! Hi there!

[A voice from above? When she spots Arche, she smiles back and waves]

[Arche drops down towards the two at a pretty nice clip so that they don't have to yell at each other to talk. She's about five feet off the ground when she continues.]

How're you two doing?

[Sophie seems to be doing pretty well, looking all excited when Arche comes down to their level]

[Arche giggles at the little girl, reaching out a hand for Sophie.]

[Sophie is most likely reaching back]

I've got a feeling I'm gonna be a lot more worn out than this in a few days though.

[Her fingers touch Sophie's and she laces them together, just a bit.] But you'll be a good girl for Sheena, won't you Sophie?

She has been so far. ...I'm kinda worried about how well that'll hold up by the end of the week.

[Kratos had just awoken a few minutes before she arrived. But... he feels terrible enough that he wants to fall back asleep again. His stomach hurts, and he feels absolutely drained. Of course, his first foggy thought is to wonder how in the world he survived that.

He's starting to doze off again by the time Sheena arrives.]

[once she found out what room he was in, her only plans are to sit with him for a while. Yuan didn't give her very many specifics, so she doesn't know what to expect. She comes in ninja-quiet, in case he's asleep.]

[He senses her mana... just barely, though, with his muddled senses. Still, he can't ignore it. So he slowly opens his eyes and glances towards the door, only to sigh and shut them again. Nothing to get worked up about.]

[Pretty sure him looking at her is a good sign? Without that, he really does look awful.]

[All he does is let out a slight "hmm" at that, neither confirming nor denying it. He looks awful? He feels awful. Why can't he be unconscious again?]

[there's got to be a chair that she can sit in. With no Lloyd to be the bad kind of crazy or Raine to take charge, she doesn't feel the need to be as...loud?]

[Raine had healed him on the day of his return from the battle, but that stomach wound would take a lot of time to recover. Still, maybe more magic would lift that cruddy feeling of his. So, he partly opens his eyes and gives a small nod.]

[almost three years of practice has gotten her up to ten minutes of being able to use the magic without passing out. So that's what he'll get.]

[Speaking of naps, guess who's sawing logs on the couch? It certainly isn't Colette. Of course, he left his journal open nearby, in case she hears him while she's out.]

[and when she gets back, there he is, not watching Sophie. Hopefully Colette is.]

[No person in their right mind would have Zelos babysit. He totally gave Colette a peck on the cheek and a you're the best friend ever deal to get out of it. That being said, he's still out like a light.]

[Hmmmmmm. Time to have a little fun with him. Sheena puts on her best angry face, and tries not to be too loud]

Zelos Wilder! You idiot!

[(AAAAA) Zelos wakes up with a jolt, promptly flailing around and falling off the couch.]

I didn't do it!

[she holds the angry face for about another three seconds before laughing, and offering a hand to get him up off the floor]
