[Life's funny sometimes.]

[Sheena's moving through the forest using the trees. She remembers that wolf giving her warnings and all that, but it was a long time ago and someone made a good point about the people who got returned - and about New Feathers, but there hadn't been any - being at the mercy of whatever was going on in there. ...So she may not have stopped patrolling for more than a day or two. Particularly after she remembered she could defend herself much better from a distance now.

It's not her fault when one of the branches cracks under her feet as she stops to gauge her next move. She reaches almost calmly for another branch or two to catch herself on, but they're all thin and twiggy. One of them snags her glove and it slips off as the branch and Sheena take a gravity ride to the dirt and leaves below.

And if it stopped there everything would be mostly okay.

When her back strikes the ground, it goes through it and continues on, into the bottom of a pitfall. Winded, she takes a minute or two to catch her breath.]

Not again.

[In the fall, the journal ended up nearby, half-buried but open. ...Why not?]

Well, it was funny! [Just going to sit on the edge then, and wait.]

I've some something similar, and laughed it off. [After yelling, but that isn't important.]

[eight times? This is eight times, and that's not counting the future stuff]

[Naw, just did a faceplant off of a six storyish building.]

[slowly getting up from her spot on the ground now and trying to brush some of the dirt off. Missing one glove.]

[Yuffie will just sit there and wait to see if she really can get out without help. She may be a jerk sometimes, but she'll help someone that needs it.]

[she can. Any minute now she'll start to climb out]

[And she'll just be watching.]

[it's slow going. The walls of the hole are dirt and loose rocks, and it's difficult to climb even for a ninja]

[That's why a ninja should always carry a weapon that can make a good thing to climb up with!]

[Even knives wouldn't do a heck of a lot in this situation. She's been down enough dirt holes to know what works. Anyway she's at the top now, and working on how to pull herself out without hurting herself]

[They could make nice hand a foot holes! And at that, Yuffie will be nice and hold out a hand.]

[reaches for her hand initially but ow. That pulled something. ...But it's gonna hurt either way right? Taking Yuffie's hand, then]

[Probably gonna hurt more than it should, 'cuz Yuffie is gonna yank her right up and out]]

[she doesn't shout, but she does make a kind of strangled 'ack' noise and let go of Yuffie as soon as her feet are on the ground. That stung like nothing else.]

[She heard that!] You okay?

How about I yank you around some and then ask you that?

[if she could reach around and rub her wings and shoulders, she would, though]

[Have a...pretty fake pout.] I didn't pull that hard!

[you didn't land on your wings in a hole either. Her feathers look a little...ruffled.]

[Oookay, she gets it now.] You might wanna go get those looked at!

They're fine. I just pulled them a little.

[Moving around quickly to give them a nice poke. Are they really fine?]

[dodging just as quickly]

What d'you think you're doing?

[Aww. No fun.] Was gonna see if they were really fine or not!
