87. Drenched [voice/action]

Another thunderstorm. All this rain's getting annoying. [and it makes her think of her first week or so in Luceti. Especially with the two-year mark so close for her] There's so many people here now we'd be totally stuck if another flood happened. And that's on top of a lot of other stuff. It's been too long for some of this to still be going on.

Any luck?

There's something I wanna talk to you about.

[and if you happen to be walking around on this rainy day, you might spot a ninja who is out training anyway]

That's right. Emil is... a front for Ratatosk. But Ratatosk himself doesn't understand the meaning of it, putting more faith into his physical strength than emotional "weaknesses". Their different perspectives act as a form of balance, but they lack the ability to cooperate properly, either due to fear, or denial, or something else altogether.

He hasn't accepted that he is Emil. Or rather... that Emil is an extension of himself.

Something along those lines, in any case.

The situation is a little more complicated than just needing to hide emotions. From my understanding, Emil... had a lot to adapt to. Surely, if he were Ratatosk the entire time, he wouldn't have been able to make any of the connections that he has. It's more of a survival mechanism. Whether this happened willingly or unwillingly... it is unlikely that he remembers, and surely would not accept the ideas if we presented them to him.

There's not much else that can be done if he refuses aid at every turn. Eventually, even he will have to see that there will be no progress if things are allowed to continue.
