82. Another Year

You know, a year ago today, I was eight. Wonder what that makes me now.

I'm glad Corrine's back, but I'm worried too. He's never been brought back like that before. I'm not gonna be able to go out much until he gets better. Hope the patrols go okay.

Where I live, a lot of the houses have walls that are really secret exits. You just have to know the right place to touch on the wall.

That sounds so cool! Earth didn't have anything like that. Well maybe revolving doors but there's only two ways in and out of places from those.

Not really, just the ones on TV. And people that practice martial arts, but I don't think they call themselves that.

It's a box that has moving pictures. I don't know how it all works, but on Earth we watch programs on it.

They put stuff about everything on TV. They've got news and anime and monsters and ninja and sitcoms and everything!

Yeah I guess so. It's just an easy way to let a bunch of people know news all at the same time.

Almost everybody on Earth has one, yeah. That and computers but those are way more complicated than TVs.

Sometimes the news doesn't say the whole story anyway. When the Digimon were first attacking Earth, the news never mentioned them. Nobody else could see them except us. The second time though everybody saw them but they didn't know what they were.
