93. Snowfall

[this ninja is out on patrol. With all that snow and this being a rather long New Feather cycle for some reason, she figures it couldn't hurt. And she's been stuck in the house for too long anyway. Even if she finds nothing - heck, hopefully she finds nothing because there's no one here - it's worth it to get out some. The journal is open so she can listen for anything new or important, and all she has to do to get back is turn right around and head due west back into the village, right?

...Well, not exactly. Sheena's pretty good at moving through the snow...until she hits a big drift. It's like the ground falls right out from under her! And whoomph, it sort of does. Her journal picks up a ripping sound, the usual few thuds. After a few minutes, she's talking again]

Ow! What the-- ...How'd I get down here?

If you say so. I guess you're lucky it was that tunnel. If it was one of Toph's, there wouldn't be an exit.

[Somewhere in the background, Sokka is putting together gear. Not for your sake Sheena, but for this hole you were so clever in finding.]

In my defense, last year the only bender I knew was my sister, and she could basically just make puddles move. So I agree with you there. It's really weird.

I'm pretty sure there's just one tunnel. Maybe with a couple branches. The last time I was down here I was kinda too busy thinking about other stuff.
